Group-to-cohort sync
Let your directory decide who gets which training. When someone joins a team, their courses follow. When they leave, access ends and their record stays.
A group changes
Someone is added to the Warehouse Northgate group in Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace.
The cohort updates
LaserLMS mirrors the group as a cohort on its next sync. No CSV uploads, no tickets.
Enrolment follows
Courses linked to the cohort, such as Workplace Health and Safety, are assigned with their due dates.
Leavers are handled
Removed from the group, removed from the cohort. Access ends and completion history is kept for audits.
Attendance records from Teams and Zoom.
Virtual classroom sessions only count if you can prove people attended. LaserLMS pulls attendance from Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings and records it against the session, so live training sits in the same record as e-learning.

Which HR systems can LaserLMS sync with?
Any HR system that can share data through an API, a scheduled CSV export or SFTP. Common examples include Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, BambooHR, Darwinbox and Keka. We confirm the connector and field mapping during onboarding.
What is group-to-cohort sync?
Groups in your directory, such as Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace, are mirrored as cohorts in LaserLMS. Courses assigned to a cohort are assigned to everyone in it, so joining or leaving a group changes training automatically.
Can meeting attendance count towards course completion?
Yes. Attendance pulled from Microsoft Teams or Zoom is recorded against the session in LaserLMS and can be used as a completion condition, which is useful for instructor-led and virtual classroom training.
Is there an API?
Yes. LaserLMS has a token-based REST API with scoped permissions, plus event notifications for changes such as completions and enrolments. An MCP server is available for AI agents.
Which e-learning standards are supported?
SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, xAPI, H5P and LTI 1.3. Existing SCORM packages from authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise and Adobe Captivate can be uploaded as they are.
